Does anyone know if this company still operates? The website is still working but they’ve made no recent social media postings and haven’t responded to enquiries via the website or social media. It’s a shame as they ticked a lot of boxes for the sort of company I’d like to buy products from.
They have a new website:

Hi
We are a online design brand based in London and have developed a range of bags.
We are looking for a leather bag manufacturers based in the UK, with small production runs.
We have been trying to find suitable companies but have had great difficulty.
Preferably we would like a radius of daily return travel distance for factory visits from London.
We are aware of places based in the Midlands, Northampton and Somerset but not specific company names/details so are unable to contact any.
Best Regards GDeCamillo
I am looking for quality leather goods that are sourced ethically in Britain. Not only am I searching for quality products but I need to know that the leather is obtained free from cruelty. The source of leather is obviously from an animal skin. How much is known about the animals before slaughter? Much leather especially imported leather has been sourced from equines i.e. horses and donkeys. As a consumer (and I hope a representative of the general public) , I would like to see traceability in the same way as good restaurants have traceability of the meat on their menu.
.
That’s an oxymoron as no animal product is free from cruelty!
Good list but where’s Marlborough of England? They usually exhibit at Make it British.
Dear Moon’s bags are beautifully made. Top quality leather and a quirky colour combinations. I love them. x
For everything “one off” try http://www.Barkandbanter.net
Our dogs have b both got collars from Caz and my wife has 2 of her bags, exceptional.
Interesting stuff to read. Good job and thanks for sharing such a good blog.
Hello: Several years ago I purchased 2 different leather handbags for my daughter-in-law. The company name escapes me; however the uniqueness of the handbag relates to the unique number inside the handbag. If the
handbag was lost a finder could use the unique number to locate the owner thru the company that made the
purse. For some reason I feel the company name may have begun with an A.
Would you be able to help me locate this purse company in London, I would be most grateful.
Thank you,
Sincerely,
Audrey H Stout
Maxwell Scott bags are missing from the list! Amazing craftsmanship and sustainability.
That’s because Maxwell Scott bags are made in Italy.
